Semih METİN specializes in capital market legislation, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, legal compliance and litigation.

After graduating from Ankara University Faculty of Law in 1997 and the completion of his legal internship, he passed the entrance examination of Capital Markets Board and started his career at Capital Markets Board as of early 1999. He served as Expert Lawyer and Chief Expert Lawyer in the Capital Markets Board until 2012. In this context, he actively participated in the preparation of legal opinions for all departments of the Capital Markets Board and he was a member of the working group for the preparation of the Capital Markets Law and secondary legislation and actively represented Capital Markets Board in litigations focused on commercial law, criminal law and administrative law.

As of 2012, Semih METİN has started private practice in the leading and well-known law offices of Istanbul and gained experience in the fields of capital market legislation, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and compliance. In this context, he has a wide range of knowledge and experience in various fields such as domestic and international initial public offerings, local and foreign issuances of bonds and other securities, regulations governing publicly traded companies, brokerage houses and other capital market institutions, share and property merger and acquisition projects and conducting due diligences, preparation of all kinds of corporate legal documentation, corporate and commercial law and establishment of compliance programs on local and international anti-bribery and corruption regulations.

Between 2018 and 2020 he served as the head of legal at one of the leading media groups in Turkey and provided legal consultancy services especially on capital market regulations, corporate law and press and media law. He also managed legal and enforcement proceedings of the relevant media group.
